"(a) All active and inactive renewal applicants shall complete a minimum 3 hour continuing education core program that has been accredited by the commission pursuant to Rea 302.01.
(b) All renewal applicants whose licenses are on active status, and inactive licensees who are applying to have theiir licenses placed on active status, shall complete an additional 6 hours of continuing education elective courses accredited by the commission pursuant to Rea 302.01."
